Hi Gang,

Many of you may not know this but we have just released a new game for the Nintendo DS.  Don’t worry; it also works with your new DSi.  The game is a math based game which features a long time favorite character, Math Blaster.  Yes, our pint-sized space explorer is back to face new adventures in Math Blaster in the Prime Adventure!

Ok, enough marketing banter.  Let’s take a look at some of the concept art that we made for the game.

Ryan usually builds worlds but took time out to create a fleet of new space ships.  These are actually low-poly models for use in the game.  He sketched so many super-cool vehicle designs for Blaster that we will have wait to use them all… maybe for our Blaster on-line game.  I will try to put up some of his vehicle drawings this week.

Our character designer, Seth sketched several new characters for our Blaster Universe.

These were turned into 3D models for the Nintendo console.  I will try to post the final versions in the next day or so.

Look for more Blaster art during the week.

Good times everyone!

  1. Why did you change Math blaster’s look so radically? I understand wanting to update an older franchise but the new helmetless look is straying a little to far from the original. I understand that making Blaster a kid supposedly makes him more Identifiable with kids but it’s nothing compared to the wish fulfillment of getting to be an adult space explorer of the original Dos game. You guys are mocking the wonderful images of my childhood and by dumbing the games down to this level your insuring that the children of the future will forget the original lovable character and your money will be wasted.
