UPDATE: Escape From Adventure Island is now available in stores.
Good news, everybody! JumpStart’s Escape from Adventure Island has been officially approved to be released on the Nintendo Wii™ console! It is now set to be on store shelves on November 17. And I must say, we’re pretty excited about it here at JumpStart.
In Escape from Adventure Island, your kids are going to be covering a lot of ground (and ocean) , and they’ll be learning throughout the journey. Here’re some screenshots to give you a sneak peek of the gameplay that’s included!
To add to the excitement, we’re now holding a Time to Escape! contest here on the JumpStart blog with awesome prizes, including copies of the game! You can find the contest by going to the Win tab at the top left corner of this page or by clicking here. Enter soon! The contest ends on November 16.
If you’d like to go ahead and preorder the game, you can do so here through Toys”R”Us®. The game will be sold for $29.99.
Tell all your friends that your child’s game library is about to become even more fun and educational!

Will my child find this new and different if she already has played the online game?
Well fh,
Some elements of the game will be new and some will be familiar. Escape from Adventure Island is mostly a mixture of games your kids may have seen in MarineLand and AdventureLand; however, there will be some new games (like riding a manta ray!) and the added fun of the Wii™ remote gesture controls. Hope that helps!
We live in Canada.Where can we buy the game?
Hi Alberta,
We’ll be releasing Escape from Adventure Island a little later to you kind people up north. Expect it to be available around the 20th or so at major retailers, such as Staples and Wal-Mart.
Best,
The JumpStart Team
Do the math skills increase in level of difficulty as the player is successful or is there one level of math skills covered in this game? My son is 5 and I was hoping it could continue to hold his interest for a few years.
All taught skills come available at multiple curriculum levels. Before a child starts a learning game, he or she is asked to choose a Curriculum Level and a Difficulty Level. There are three curriculum levels available per game, typically. Level 1 correlates closely to a Kindergarten to 1st grade level. Level 2 is good for kids in 1st or 2nd, and Level 3 is good for the 2nd and 3rd graders. We recommend that children who are successful in a certain learning activity progress to more advanced levels or return to earlier levels in subjects that they struggle with, to strengthen their learning foundations. The difficulty levels generally pertain to the challenge of the game level layout, in terms of obstacles, opponents, and sometimes the ratio of right to wrong answer choices. This game should be relevant to your child’s learning for awhile.
Best,
The JumpStart Team
Hi I live in canada (kingston ontario) as well and my daughter has put esape from adventure island on her wish list and im anxiously trying to find it. None of the stores here seem to have any information about it. Will it be released anywhere in Ontario before Christmas?
Hi Jackie,
Ontario, Canada should have had our games for going on a few weeks, now. We’ve been distributing Escape from Adventure Islands through EB Games and Wal Mart Canada. Have you tried those stores?
