Happy New Year from the JumpStart Team!

It is amazing to think that just one short year ago, our online game was a single-player world with only one major portal – StoryLand. Now, from the moment you enter JumpStart.com, you are surrounded by dancing Jumpeez, swerving rides, bouncing pets, and grinning emoticons. Plus, with the addition of the FutureLand, AdventureLand, MarineLand, SpeedDrome, DownTown, and Neighborhood portals, MainStreet is just the beginning of the fun.

We hope that you’ve enjoyed watching our world grow and change as much as we have this year. Please keep the feedback and suggestions coming; after all, our imaginations are the only limit as to what our game could be like next December!

Thank you for joining us in our online world in 2009, and we look forward to seeing you there in 2010 and beyond!  Happy New Year!

P.S. We hope you’ve been enjoying the fireworks!

  3. Are there going to be Easter decorations

  4. I am looking to find a general overview guide or something to help get us up to speed on Jump Start.

We have been playing for about a week, love the game, but trying to search for answers on how to do stuff isn’t always easy.

    • Hi Jeff – The blog is a great way to get up to date about current happenings in JumpStart. Although we do not have an overview guide just yet, we are in the works of putting one together. In the meantime, if you have any questions about the game or run into any issues, please feel free to leave a comment on the blog, and we’ll be sure to get back to you. Thank you for playing JumpStart!

  5. I WANT THE OLD JS BAK! IT WAS SO EASIER TO DO QUESTS COZ THERE WAS LESS PLACES AND I LUVED THE OLD JS SO MUCH I PLAYED ON JS FOR FIVE YEARS! IM STILL HOPING U CAN BRING BAK THE SINGLE PLAYER WORLD WITH LESS PLACES! I HOPE U REALLY THINK ABOUT IT! from: margaret

    • Hi Margaret – Many parts of JumpStart are very similar to the quests you are used to. Try using the map to go straight to StoryLand, AdventureLand, MarineLand, and FutureLand for quests. Also, if you are a member, you can visit the Downloadables page to play games similar to other JumpStart games you have played before. Thank you for being a loyal fan!

    • What quests are you talking about. You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to.

  6. yeh i do have membership but i want the old JS bak WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  7. PLZZZZZZZZ BRING BAK OLD JS PLZZZ WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  8. Hi! This is a problem Margaret is very upset. She was looking at pictures of old JS and she got very squirmy. She really wants the old Jumpstart back and says she hasen’t enjoyed JS from 2009 to 2011. Back in 2008 playing Jumpstart was a miracle for her. She laughed and jumped up and down when she played it. 2009 to 2011 she says JS ‘isn’t quite fun anymore’. Now she is wondering can you put old Jumpstart ( the 2008 version) on her screen but nobody elses. She says that would make Jumpstart be fun and not confusing again.
Please Respond To Me ASAP With Your Answer.
    Clara

    • Hi Clara – We are sorry that Margaret feels that JumpStart is becoming too expansive. Unfortunately, there is no way for Margaret to see the old JumpStart. If Margaret is having trouble finding the places she knows and loves, please encourage her to use the map located in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. If that does not work for her, please have her try taking a look at the downloadable games. They are just as fun, and very traditional in regards to JumpStart style. Hopefully she will find an area that she can enjoy. Good luck!

  9. Margaret really wants the old Jumpstart ( 2008 version) back and she saw one of your old blog posts that was posted in July 2009, about Jumpstart going multiplayer and she she saw something about the ” Online Preferences” tab and she saw something about something letting you opt out of multiplayer back to the singe player world. she says that would make Jumpstart be good again, if she could go back to that.
Please Respond ASAP and on your response please put a link to the “Online Preferences” tab
    Clara

    • Clara – You can find the Online Game Preferences control panel by logging in and clicking “Parents” and then “Manage Kids”. If you scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page, there is an option to turn off the MMO feature. We hope this helps!

  10. Margaret changed her mind last week about what version she liked now she is back to liking the 2008 version and I saw her playing Jumpstart when she got home from school and she had a look on her face that completeley told me she was getting bored. She says Jumpstart is becoming extremely boring for her she says she also so doesn’t like the guide addition she says the guides are too sneaky to be around. Now the only thing she ever does in Jumpstart is watch raymies videos and she won’t do anything else in Jumpstart. Also she is not raising a mythie so she dosen’t always play Jumpstart. I am very concerned and it horrifies me she rarely plays Jumpstart. In 2008 Jumpstart was her favorite. I want her to continue Jumpstart. But I am afraid she will not play it anymore since she isn’t playing it often anymore. She needs the old Jumpstart back for her to continue all the great stuff Jumpstart has in store. Is there any way to get back to old Jumpstart and if not, can you bring back the old Jumpstart?
I want you to respond fast cause I want Margaret to continue Jumpstart.
    Clara

    • Hi Clara – We are sorry to hear that Margaret isn’t enjoying JumpStart as much as she used to. Unfortunately, we cannot change the game back. However, we are always adding cool, new features and hopefully she finds something that she enjoys. Also, if she would like a challenge, please encourage her to head over to MathBlaster.com.
