Here at JumpStart, we’re big fans of hunting – scavenger hunting!  In celebration of the new year ahead of us, your child will now be invited to participate in a time-themed scavenger hunt starting today, in the online world at JumpStart.com.

Father Time has sprinkled 20 time items throughout the Speed Drome area. All the items will be some sort of tool to measure time with, such as a watch, an hourglass, or a clock.

This post will unveil the secret locations of the first five of the hunt items, but Shhhh!  Keep this revelation quiet, unless your explorers are really having a tough time.  The items are smaller than they were in previous hunts and were hid well, so don’t be surprised if your smaller explorer might need some extra direction.

The directions offered to collect these five items all start from the front of the FreeFall Mountain building, facing it.  Below the directions are supplemental pictures; click on the picture set to examine the cells more closely:

1. Old-style clock — On top of the car wash building.  To collect it, run to the asphalt on-ramp in the distance just to the right of the car wash, stand on the edge of the ramp, and hop onto the back-right corner of the car wash building.  If your explorer owns a ride, use the ride’s superior jumping ability to reach the building roof.
2. Digital clock — By a bush near the central area.  Head to the left, past the Ridez shop/garage, and there will be four bushes in front of a cliff side.  Approach the left-most bush to find the black digital clock.
3. Digital watch — On the beach by one of the bays.  Head up the dirt road on-ramp to the right of the FreeFall Mountain building and car wash.  Go past the waterfall and through the stone archway, jumping to the right once you exit the walled-in area onto a beach shore, where you will find the watch.
4. Hourglass — Near the FreeFall Mountain building (FFM).  Just head to the right of the FFM; the hourglass sits out in the open of the central area.
5. Pocket watch — Turn around and walk on the other side of the chain-linked fence, straight through the strip of grass and down towards the water; the watch rests on a slab of river shore.
