Mystic Mountain Caverns (AdventureLand)

We’ll start with our absolute favorite set of jump pads in all of JumpStart.com. Once you find Hops at AdventureLand’s Mystic Mountain, you’ll have access to a vast network of jump pads that can transport you throughout the caverns. Experiment with different jump pads to see where you end up next!

The orange slide in DownTown leads to a coastal pool, complete with a lovely little island. Step on the island’s jump pad and you’ll be transported to another island nearby!

Tiki Falls

We showed you an amazing portal to the top of Tiki Falls last week, but did you know you can also get there by jump pad? Just step on the jump pad at the bottom of the falls to get started!

It takes quite a bit of hand-eye coordination to get to navigate Free Fall Mountain.

And navigating that chocolate maze requires pattern and letter recognition skills.

Even the pre-programmed chat words in the game are based on Dolch’s sight words, a set of words that should be standard knowledge by the third grade.

Plus, dance moves and emoticons help kids learn about social cues and body language. (After all, the Jumpeez showing angry emoticons are never as fun to make friends with.)

And the Jumpee Creator teaches body parts, colors and more.

Heather explains, “When a kid is playing at JumpStart they are drowning in opportunities for learning. Without even realizing it, this child is exploring, discovering, and beginning to make connections with prior knowledge, creating new knowledge.”

Our first featured slide is in StoryLand. This one’s easy to find – just enter StoryLand and click on the gate with the picture of the slide on top.

Our next featured slide is actually a pair of slides! You’ve probably noticed the blue and orange slides in JumpStart’s DownTown. To get up to the top, just step on the jump pad by the brick wall near the Petz shop.

This Jumpee is psyched to step on that jump pad and get to the slides!

The blue slide provides a great view of DownTown…

The orange slide will take you through the hills and to the shore!

Our final featured slide is special – it’s a water slide! You’ll find it in the Caverns in MarineLand.

No need to worry about that Punk Punk – he’s made of stone!

Do you hear that storm a-comin’?  It’s no monsoon; it’s a turbo trike barreling down the MainStreet boardwalk or around the highways of the Speed Drome.  Those strong plastic wheels pack a lot of punch, and your Jumpee’s legs will be pumping like engine pistons as they roar towards the IQ Actionizer or the Brain Training Arcade.

The first dragon ever found on JumpStart with an exoskeleton, Fossil is a daunting figure to see racing down MainStreet. But don’t be deceived by his spiney appearance – this dragon is actually quite gentle when carrying Jumpeez around the world. Fossil especially loves it when Jumpeez dress up to match him in the skeleton hoodie and pant outfit from JS Threadz!

Before JumpStart welcomes the warmth and starts to transition to more fun in the sun, Jumpeez can still head to the ice skating rink for some laps!

Go for the Double Sow Cow while you can!

Jumpeez should also rally together to throw as many snowballs as they can at the snowman in Downtown. (He wants one last dance before he leaves for spring vacation!)

One more last dance.

The elves loaned us the “Wonderland in a Globe,” complete with the Elf-O-Matics so we could fit, but they’re starting to miss their beloved play land up north, for when they aren’t making toys. Jumpeez should be sure to shrink themselves and play around on the snow globe slides and train! It’s the last chance for them to get a taste of the North Pole!

Announce the Champ and the New Crew to Your Friends!

Jumpeez can pump up their brains and earn coins at the Brain Training Center!

What you may not realize is that lots more learning is available in FutureLand, at the IQ Actionizer!  FutureLand is a great place to check out if your child is toward the older end of JumpStart’s age range.

Your little adventurer can kick butt at learning games in FutureLand!

The IQ Actionizer is packed full of learning content for students in the third, fourth, and fifth grades, which means reading, writing, and arithmetic feature prominently.

Looks like we’re going to need a pencil and paper for this one…

Of course, there’s a lot more math content than just multiplication. Players can also practice addition, subtraction, division, fractions, place value, counting money, and much more!

In the reading games, students will learn about complete sentences, parts of speech, prefixes, suffixes, spelling, capitalization, and homonyms, among many other topics.

We’re glad Uncle Max is happy, but is that a complete sentence?

Geography games will teach your explorer about world and U.S. geography, states and capitals, U.S. government, world currency, reading maps, and units of measurement.

Science questions round out the learning with information about astronomy, science history, critical thinking, and graph reading.

Reading graphs and charts is an important skill for many subjects, particularly science.
